Coach Rooney started us off by sharing good news about one of his college baseball friends, Pat Murphy, who was just named the new manager of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Coach Schoch scratched the “college baseball friendship itch” in a big way this weekend, by attending one of his former UVA Teammates weddings. The ‘college baseball teammate wedding experience’ is essentially just a big team reunion and it’s one of the best things that comes out of college baseball.

Moving along the guys talk about different “preseason” tournaments they are most excited for, and get into the complexities of what goes into making a college baseball schedules. It’s an action packed episode you won’t want to miss!

From 1992 to 2018, the Cal State Fullerton Titans participated in the NCAA Baseball tournament every single year. That is 27 consecutive seasons for those of you keeping score at home. In the history of college baseball, only Florida State and Miami (44 consecutive seasons) have authored longer streaks. The Titans rose to prominence under the legendary Augie Garrido, and they never looked back.

Four different head coaches led Fullerton to Omaha during that run: Garrido, George Horton, Dave Serrano, and Rick Vanderhook. All four men earned national championship rings during their lengthy tenures at the school. The program’s continuity[…]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 2023 Wake Forest season had to be bittersweet for those around the program.
