From 1992 to 2018, the Cal State Fullerton Titans participated in the NCAA Baseball tournament every single year. That is 27 consecutive seasons for those of you keeping score at home. In the history of college baseball, only Florida State and Miami (44 consecutive seasons) have authored longer streaks. The Titans rose to prominence under the legendary Augie Garrido, and they never looked back.

Four different head coaches led Fullerton to Omaha during that run: Garrido, George Horton, Dave Serrano, and Rick Vanderhook. All four men earned national championship rings during their lengthy tenures at the school. The program’s continuity[…]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 2023 Wake Forest season had to be bittersweet for those around the program.

With a run to the semifinals of the College World Series, it was the best season for the program since it won the national title way back in 1955, but on the other hand, it’s painful to come that close to the ultimate goal and fall short against the eventual national champions in LSU after a season in which it spent a significant portion of time as the number one team in the nation.
