DURHAM, N.C. — Day Three at the ACC tournament featured three contests whose winners would advance to Saturday’s semifinal round, providing higher stakes than Wednesday’s action, where only one game was relevant for ACC tournament advancement purposes. Top-seeded Wake Forest punched its ticket first with a 10-2 victory against Pittsburgh, and then North Carolina beat Virginia by the same score in the middle game. Fall Report

Cal sprinted out to a 6-1 start in 2023, and there was much cause for optimism. Come take a behind-the-scenes look at Old Dominion University’s Bud Metheny Baseball Stadium! In this facility tour, Stephen Schoch is joined by ODU’s own Jake Ticer. Jake is arguably one of the most fun guys to watch hit home runs, and he is a heck of a tour guide too.

ODU currently has an awesome setup from a baseball standpoint, where they have just about everything you would need all on one street. Their stadium and hitting facility are great venues in college baseball, and the amenities at ODU are only getting nicer.

Make sure to stay tuned till the end of the episode to see what the school plans to do with renovations in the coming years! The facilities they have down here in Norfolk are already great and are only getting better. It is no wonder why ODU is able to consistently churn out postseason ball clubs every June.

Fall Report

From 1992 to 2018, the Cal State Fullerton Titans participated in the NCAA Baseball tournament every single year. That is 27 consecutive seasons for those of you keeping score at home. In the history of college baseball, only Florida State and Miami (44 consecutive seasons) have authored longer streaks. The Titans rose to prominence under the legendary Augie Garrido, and they never looked back.

Four different head coaches led Fullerton to Omaha during that run: Garrido, George Horton, Dave Serrano, and Rick Vanderhook. All four men earned national championship rings during their lengthy tenures at the school. The program’s continuity[…]
