Coby Morales and the Washington Huskies were fired up to beat UCLA.

At The Ballpark

LOS ANGELES — Ahhhh, Sunday college baseball returns. Or maybe I should say it rears its ugly head? Not in a 90s-type way where teams are hitting 10 home runs and scoring 13 runs. But more like the pitching is getting thin and the offenses are dictating the winners of the weekend. Either way, Washington head coach Jason Kelly accepts the way Sundays go in our sport, especially when his Huskies can take to an 11-10 series clinching win on the road against the 7th-ranked team in the country.

Game 3: Dallas Baptist 18  Oklahoma State 4

The elimination game pitting No. 1 seed Oklahoma State and No. 2 seed Dallas Baptist was a continuation of a Dallas Baptist hit parade that started yesterday with 13 and continued with 19 more today against the Cowboys. They took down No. 1 seeded Stanford 8-5 in the nightcap of the doubleheader to leap ahead of the other programs here in the Bay Area and pull within one win of going to the Super Regionals. Prior to that, Cal State Fullerton eliminated San Jose State with a 9-5 win to stay alive[…]

Game 3: West Virginia 13 | Ball State 5

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Ending a six-game skid, West Virginia gets back in the win column with a 13-5 victory over Ball State on Saturday, extending their year while ending Ball State’s season.

“Hey, guys; [I’m] much happier to see you guys today,” joked Mountaineers Head Coach Randy Mazey after the game. “We hadn’t felt this good in a little while.”

It’s no secret that West Virginia had been struggling of late. After getting swept by Texas in the final weekend of the regular season, an early exit from the Big-12 tournament and last[…]
