Clippers forward Marcus Morris (ribs) questionable against Spurs

Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris (bruised ribs) has been downgraded to questionable for Thursday night’s home game versus the San Antonio Spurs. Luke Kennard (right calf soreness) is also listed as questionable.
John Wall (abdominal) remains out indefinitely. Morris has missed only four games this season. During the first quarter of Tuesday night’s 133-115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the 12-year veteran exited the game after 10 minutes played due to a rib contusion.
Per a few NBA betting sites, the Clippers possess seventh-best odds to win the championship. Check out which sportsbooks are giving the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors better odds.

Clippers coach Tyronn Lue did not provide a postgame update on the wing’s injury. Through 46 starts this season, Morris is averaging 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest. Plus, he’s shooting 43.7% from the field and 37.9% outside the arc.
On Oct. 23, in Los Angeles’ 112-95 loss against the Phoenix Suns, the 33-year-old logged a season-high 22 points in 32 minutes of action. He finished 10-of-14 (71.4%) shooting from the floor and knocked down two 3-pointers.

Moreover, Luke Kennard has missed the last nine games due a right calf soreness. The Duke product has missed a total of 21 games so far this season. He’s averaging 8.7 points, 2.5 boards, and 1.2 assists per game. Also, the Clippers guard is shooting career bests of 48.9% from the field and 46.2% beyond the arc.
For San Antonio’s injury report, the only players listed as Romeo Langford (leg) and Devin Vassell (knee). While Vassell remains out indefinitely, Langford is questionable for Thursday night’s intraconference matchup.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are unlisted on the Clippers’ injury report tomorrow vs. the Spurs.
They’re expected to play their 4th straight game together for the first time this season, and it could come with Luke Kennard’s return.

The Spurs have won just two of its last 10 contests. They’re winless in their past nine road games. San Antonio is currently on a three-game skid as well. Not to mention, the Spurs are 0-9 in their previous nine meetings versus Western Conference opponents.
As for the Clippers, they’re 5-5 in their past 10 games. Los Angeles is now on a three-game win streak. And the playoff contender has won the last five matchups against Southwest Division teams.
Though, the Clippers are 5-11 ATS in their previous 16 contests played on a Thursday. Sportsbooks show Los Angeles as heavy 12.5-point favorites at home.

Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant are the latest stars to invest in Tiger Wood’s TMRW Sports – Basketball Insiders

Last year, professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy began a new mass communications project called TMRW Sports, that looks to revolutionize the approach given to sport’s news in the United States and world media.
This Tuesday, three basketball superstars decided to join the party and invest in this exciting new company. We are talking about Shaquille O’Neal, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant, who are among the latest celebrities to participate in TMRW Sports, the organization recently announced.
As mentioned before, the company was founded in 2022 by two of the greatest golfers of all time, including former Golf Channel executive Mike McCarley. TMRW Sports’s main focus is to use new forms of media and technology to innovate in sport’s broadcasts.
Recently, the platform has accumulated a funding round of 65 investing athletes, franchise owners and other entrepreneurs, as they try to bring in outside revenue during its conception.
This trio of basketball superstars are joining Rich Kleiman as the company’s latest investors, who is the co-founder of Thirty Five Ventures, another platform that concentrates its efforts on entertainment surrounding the athletic industry since 2019.
Check out TMRW Sports’ latest social media announcement, assuring that “these basketball stars know what it takes to build a great team, so we’re excited to continue the momentum with them on board.”

As you can see in the company’s tweet, the NBA trio join legendary sport celebrities such as Formula 1’s Lewis Hamilton, tennis star Serena Williams, former soccer player Gareth Bale, and other musical icons like Justin Timberlake.
Shaq, Wade and KD aren’t the only basketball players involved
As Durant and Kleiman invested through Thirty Five Ventures, O’Neal and Wade are using personal funds to buy their stakes. Other NBA athletes participating in this potential revolution are Stephen Curry, Steve Nash, Jayson Tatum and Chris Paul.
Take a look at some of the media coverage given by the press back when they first announced the company:
Back in October 2022, Tiger Woods seemed extremely excited about this project’s release, as he hopes this brings a new age for sport entertainment.
“I am excited to work with TMRW Sports in bringing people more Access to sports,” the PGA legend expressed. “So many athletes, entertainers, and poeple I meet from all walks of like share our passion for sports, but that also share our desire to build a better future for the next generation of sports fans. Together, we can harness technology to bring fresh approaches to the sports we love.”
Even though their initial proposals have involved mostly golf projects, their intention is to expand to every corner of the sport’s industry, bringing in representatives of every discipline possible. For now, we can only wait and dwell in curiosity over what’s to come for TMRW Sports.

Deandre Ayton is out again tonight for the Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are currently a top-four team in the Western Conference and have a 38-33 record. Injuries have held the team back from their true potential all season long and that continued after the blockbuster trade for Kevin Durant. After their game vs the Lakers tonight the Suns only have 10 regular season games. Out for the second-straight game in a row for Phoenix tonight is big man, Deandre Ayton.
He’s played in 61 of the teams’ 71 games this season and is one of three Suns players who’s played in at least 50 games this season. Devin Booker has missed nearly 30 games this season and Kevin Durant has played just three games for Phoenix since being traded right before the deadline.
Phoenix has championship aspirations, but they need their squad to be healthy in the biggest moment of the season. Arizona Sports Betting sites have the Suns at (+600) to win the Finals this season.

The Phoenix Suns will be without big man, Deandre Ayton tonight
Ayton suffered a right hip contusion in the team’s home win last Thursday vs the Orlando Magic. The injury caused the big man to miss Sunday’s contest vs the Thunder and he’ll be out again tonight when the Suns are on the road to face the Lakers.
It’s been another strong season and he’s been able to fill in voids when the team is dealing with injuries. Large numbers for Phoenix have missed games this season or have been traded and that has increased Ayton’s scoring out load. He’s averaging a career-high (13.6) field-goal attempts per game but is scoring just (18.3) points per game.
That number should be much higher for the number of shots he is taking. However, Ayton hardly takes threes this season and nearly all of his shots are two-pointers. Bismack Biyambo got the start on Sunday when Ayton did not play and head coach Monty Williams could take the same approach tonight.

Chandler Parsons Says He Feared Guarding Kevin Durant More Than LeBron James

After former Heat player Mario Chalmers said “nobody fears LeBron James” anymore at the beginning of the week, a lot has been said about the all-time greatest NBA scorer and how his intensity on court has worn down in recent years.
The latest to discuss the issue was Chandler Parsons, who played 9 seasons in the NBA, as he was interviewed last night by Michelle Beadle on a Fan Duel TV broadcast. Even though he considers Chalmers comments “were blown out of proportion”, he believes he understands what he was trying to say.
Chandler Parsons says he feared Kevin Durant more than LeBron James: https://t.co/ow4j9LEelV

“I’m buying what he’s saying because he’s not like hating on LeBron at all, they are close friends,” Parsons said. “What he was trying to say, that I think was blown out of proportion, is that there are harder matchups 1 on 1.”
For the 34-year-old, he can think of many other great players he would fear guarding more than James. “Like when I was playing I feared guarding Kevin Durant more than I feared guarding LeBron James,” he admitted. “Just because of his ability to score. The way he can break you off, even if you play great defense he can shoot over you. LeBron is more passive, he gets off giving the extra pass and he’s less aggresive.”
However, the former Rockets foward did not want to fuel controversy and made sure he wasn’t misunderstood by his statement. “But let’s not get it twisted, there’s fear when you see this man coming down Hill on you, or even when you are going for a layup you know he’s coming behind you to block your play above the blackboard.
“I think Mario just meant like MJ, Kobe, KD or like Steph, these guys come in at your neck every single time, almost disrespected you. LeBron isn’t like that, he likes to get his teammates involved, a little bit more passive, he enjoy facilitating more than scoring. So I think that’s what he meant, there is not arguing what great of a player.”
Co-host Eddie González believes players nowadays are tougher than in the 90s
Fan Duel TV’s co-host Eddie González not only agreed with Parsons, but added more depth to the conversation, stating he considers basketball athletes in the modern era are even scarier than players in the past.
Take a look at the 34-year-old’s full interview on last night’s Fan Duel TV broadcast:
.@ChandlerParsons and @bansky share their thoughts on Mario Chalmers saying nobody fears LeBron like they did MJ 👀#RunItBack with @MichelleDBeadle pic.twitter.com/M5BaZd4BnI
— FanDuel TV (@FanDuelTV) March 21, 2023
“I think it’s a great perspective,” González said about Parsons remarks.”When I talk to more players about stuff like this, it reminds me about Kobe (Bryant) or Kyrie (Irving) and just like their skill level, and the difficulty of their shot making.
“Whereas me on the couch as a fan,” the co-host said. “If they were that scared of Mike (Jordan) in the 90s, and you guys tell me that was the toughest era of basketball, somethings not adding up.”
González went all the way to say he also buys what Chalmers expressed about LeBron, saying that teams usually have a game plan against James, and even though it doesn’t always work, at least it’s different than how no strategy could stop Kobe Bryant, as an example.
