CORAL GABLES, Fla. — More Morales.

That could be the best news heading into 2023 for the Miami Hurricanes baseball program and for Yohandy Morales, their star third baseman.

Morales, who is 6-foot-4, said he played last season at 195 pounds. But now, after an offseason of intense weight training, Morales is a muscled-up 217 pounds.

That could mean more Morales line drives, more Morales doubles, more Morales homers …

In short, more Morales mayhem.

And there was already plenty of Morales mayhem in 2022 as he hit .329, leading Miami in doubles (17), homers (18), RBI (59) and OPS[…]

CLEMSON, S.C. — East Carolina has been the class of the American Athletic Conference ever since Cliff Godwin arrived in Greenville, repeatedly hosting regionals and knocking on the door to Omaha. Last year, the Pirates advanced to super regionals for the fourth time in Godwin’s seven completed seasons as head coach, but this was the first time they got a chance to host a super, after a torrid stretch run earned them a national seed. Jim Penders and Connecticut have become accustomed to being in the national spotlight.

The Huskies have evolved into one of the nation’s most consistent programs, and certainly the measuring stick when it comes to programs in the Northeast part of the country.

There has been no movement at the top as our top nine prospects remain exactly the same from our initial list in late July (Top 30 College Prospects).
